Some weekends are super refreshing, filled with lots of downtime and moments that say “Ahh, I feel so lucky to be alive and I’m so relaxed and recharged!”

This was not one of those weekends for me.

The bright side was the barn. I got to ride in the sun for three days in a row, and my horse was really well behaved. We even got to model some of our new stuff, and despite my riding flaws… I feel like we’re going on the right track again.

Plus for the first time in three years, it took me about 20 minutes to catch him. Due to a series of unfortunate events, Simon got a wild streak and decided to show me how fast he was.

Spoiler alert – he’s pretty fast.

I filled up my phone with photos, and that’s about all I’ve got for Monday. So enjoy!

Those are pastern wraps. They protect when he interferes and occasionally knocks himself consistently in the same spot.

He looks so handsome!!! I love how the horses in the other pastures act like they could care less!

Those photos are just amazing! What an athletic guy! I often have to say that to myself while I am frustratedly watching Connor run circles around me… 🙂

You know what? He looks pretty freaking fabulous! 🙂

His best buddy is also a TB, but a non racing one. I believe he was race bred, but never made it to track training. O is the fanciest hunter you will find but is not quite as speedy (or as motivated to go fast) as Sir Simon!
