I rarely dream of my pets that have passed. I can count the times on one hand. But last night there was Pascale. We were both surprised, skeptical of ourselves, but it didn’t take long before I heard the little happy cries she used to make when I came back to her after a trip. Her wiggling butt, tornado of a tail. Even her fur felt as coarse as it always did. I got to hug my golden hearted girl again, one week shy of the first anniversary of having to say goodbye.
