A Dose of Optimism

I accidentally left my refrigerator door open all day long. This might have been a more significant tragedy if I had anything in my refrigerator except for leftover pizza and various forms of non-dairy dairy products.

Yes, I’m away that I live in a web of oxymoron.

And now, for a quick moment of re-affirming optimism before I go to bed and read Steven King’s new book until I fall asleep (again with the wheel of oxymoron).

I’m ending my hunt for the ideal situation. In the corporate world, it’s all bullocks. Maybe one day I’ll buck up, become a teacher, and finally use the degree I spent 4 and a half years earning in college (if by earning you mean talking about feelings and talk about how ‘children are the fuuuuuuuuuuuture’). But for now, I’ve got it pretty good.

Sure, there are endless frustrations at the workplace – however there are some really great people there. And I’m collecting good book fodder… or something.

Going to concentrate on being happy with what I have right now, instead of complaining on and on about the little details. That, and of course the real meaning of life – what kind of candy to put in the candy bar at the wedding.
